The University of Mirpurkhas
The University of Mirpurkhas is a distinguished institution in Pakistan’s Sindh province. It was officially established through the passage of the University of Mirpurkhas Bill (PAS/LEGIS-B-08/2021) by the Sindh Provincial Assembly. The bill was approved on July 26, 2023, and received the Governor of Sindh’s assent on August 20, 2023, officially recognizing the University of Mirpurkhas as an independent institution through Act No: XXXVI of 2023 of the Sindh legislature.

I am absolutely delighted to welcome you all to the University of Mirpurkhas. Establishment of this university in this region marks a significant milestone towards providing an opportunity to the people of less privileged areas including Umerkot. Khipro, Mithee and Tando Allahyar. The Universities around the world play a role of catalyst for bringing positive change in their respective societies.
This nascent organization in its initial phase envisions to provide a platform to the students and faculty members for academic excellence, innovative research, intellectual curiosity, discovery, critical thinking, skill development and industry and academia relationship.

She was received by Prof. Dr. Rafique Ahmed Memon, Vice Chancellor, The University of Mirpurkhas, along with university officials. During the visit, she met with the university administration and discussed the importance of quality education and youth development. She appreciated the university’s efforts in promoting academic excellence and empowering students through higher education.
As part of her visit, Ms. Khairunnisa Mughal also participated in a plantation activity and planted a sapling on the university campus, highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability and a greener future.
The visit concluded with a commemorative souvenir presentation as a gesture of respect and appreciation.
