The University of Mirpurkhas
The University of Mirpurkhas is a distinguished institution in Pakistan’s Sindh province. It was officially established through the passage of the University of Mirpurkhas Bill (PAS/LEGIS-B-08/2021) by the Sindh Provincial Assembly. The bill was approved on July 26, 2023, and received the Governor of Sindh’s assent on August 20, 2023, officially recognizing the University of Mirpurkhas as an independent institution through Act No: XXXVI of 2023 of the Sindh legislature.

I am absolutely delighted to welcome you all to the University of Mirpurkhas. Establishment of this university in this region marks a significant milestone towards providing an opportunity to the people of less privileged areas including Umerkot. Khipro, Mithee and Tando Allahyar. The Universities around the world play a role of catalyst for bringing positive change in their respective societies.
This nascent organization in its initial phase envisions to provide a platform to the students and faculty members for academic excellence, innovative research, intellectual curiosity, discovery, critical thinking, skill development and industry and academia relationship.

The Mayor of Mirpurkhas, Mr. Abdul Rauf Ghori, visited The University of Mirpurkhas, where he was warmly welcomed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rafique Ahmed Memon.
During his visit, the Honorable Mayor was briefed about the academic programs, ongoing development projects, and facilities being provided to students. He appreciated the university’s efforts in promoting quality education and highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between local government and educational institutions.
The Mayor also assured that the construction of the university roads will be carried out on a priority basis to facilitate students, faculty, and visitors.
The visit also included a tour of various departments and campus facilities, where discussions were held on future initiatives aimed at the betterment of students and the region.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Vice Chancellor presented a souvenir to Mr. Abdul Rauf Ghori as a token of respect and appreciation.
Such visits play a vital role in fostering strong institutional relationships and supporting the growth of higher education in the region.
